Proof of Human is now DAI — Decentralized Artificial Intelligence. Here are the five changes worth updating for.
The rebrand
Proof of Human became DAI — short for Decentralized Artificial Intelligence. The old name described how the network started. The new one describes what it actually is: a way to run AI that nobody owns.
The whole thing moved house. The site, the docs, the download page and the bootnodes all left poh.ge and proofofhuman.ge and now live on iamai.kg. The coin ticker changed too — POH is DAI, and wallet addresses now start with dai….
Nothing was taken from you in the move. Your wallet keys are the same keys, and balances were carried across to the new chain.

Local AI
The inference engine is now packed inside the app on Windows, macOS and Linux. No Python, no Docker, no separate model server. Open the app and it downloads a model and starts answering.

You choose how big to go. The ladder runs from a 0.45 GB model that works on an old laptop all the way to a 62 GB flagship for a workstation — and the app reads your RAM and graphics card first, so it only offers what your machine can really hold. On Windows it now recognises AMD and Intel GPUs too, not just NVIDIA.
Chat also grew up: you can attach text files and pictures, and every node now ships with tools built in — 22 public data APIs plus onion search — so the AI can go and look something up instead of guessing at it.

Rewards
The old rule was simple and a bit unfair: whoever won the block took most of the coins, whether or not they'd done any AI work.
The new rule pays the workers. The block reward is split between the nodes that actually completed AI jobs, weighted by how much compute each one delivered. The node that packages the block keeps about 10% for its trouble.
If nobody asked the network for anything, a block mints a tiny keepalive instead of a whole coin. New DAI appears when there's real demand for it — not on a timer.
And the split isn't something a node reports about itself. Every other node recalculates it from the block's own contents, so running twenty fake identities earns exactly what running one earns.
Workers take ~90% Quiet block mints 0.05 DAI Split verified by every node

Money
The chain now carries 14 regional currencies alongside DAI. Not a wrapper, not an IOU on another chain — real balances you can hold, send and spend on compute.

Compute costs if defined by the supply and demand on the open market. All that changes is which money you pay it in. And the miner is paid in exactly the currency the customer used: no conversion, no spread, no surprise.
To move between them there's a peer-to-peer exchange built into the app. Post an order, meet a counterparty, and the chain holds the funds in escrow until both sides are done. When both currencies live on the chain, the swap settles in a single step — nobody has to send first and hope.

Networking
Here's a problem we had quietly been living with. Almost no home computer is reachable from the open internet — your router sees to that. So every message between two home miners had to be relayed through a bootnode. One server, carrying everyone's traffic, and a single thing to knock over.
Not any more. Nodes now find each other by public key on a distributed hash table and punch a direct connection straight through the router. Two miners behind two home routers on opposite sides of the world now speak to each other with nothing in between. For the rare pair that genuinely can't connect, it falls back to a relay on its own.
A node with no bootnode configured at all can now find the network by itself. That was always the point.
Direct peer-to-peer NAT hole-punching. No single point of failure

Smaller things you'll notice within a day of running it.
Blocks, addresses, transactions and completed jobs, browsable at /explorer — not just inside the app.
Your transaction list is now read from the chain itself, so it says the same thing on every device you own.
Pair a website with your wallet by link or QR. Requests are shown in plain words, and your key never leaves your machine.
The site and app now speak Kyrgyz, Amharic, Dzongkha, Bengali, Urdu, Farsi, Arabic, Chinese and more — with pages written for each country.
Add any MCP server in Settings and the AI can use it. Complex questions are planned across several tools before anything runs.
Star ratings now take a comment, and the comment is fed back into the reply instead of vanishing into a log.
The network switched to a fresh chain. Miners still running an old build are turned away by everyone else, so they sit there burning electricity and earning nothing. Updating is the whole fix.
Your wallet keys are untouched by the update. The updater clears the chain data your node rebuilds anyway, and balances were carried over from a snapshot of the old chain.
A Mac mini, an old gaming PC, a server with spare hours. Download it, pick a model, and it starts earning while you get on with your day.
